Nonnative investors are encouraged to participate in the political affairs. Under the consent of the investor himself/herself, the nonnative investors, well known or with great contributions to local development, can become Shaoguan Honorary Resident through the approval of the Municipal Standing Committee of the People’s Congress, or as a economic consultant, or as the member of the Political Consultative Committee engaged by Shaoguan Municipal People’s Government.
